Power packs built for mulching heads · HT-175 · HT-200 · HT-300
Every carrier on the market runs the same ~5,100 PSI — flow is the only lever left, and flow is what we build. Three right-sized power packs that feed your mulching head its full rated flow, continuously.
The problem you already know
Hydraulic horsepower is flow × pressure ÷ 1714. A stock excavator's auxiliary circuit starves a big mulching head — it never sees rated flow, and what it does get fades as the oil heats up. The head you already own is running at a fraction of its design potential, and the head gets the blame.
A Powertek power pack feeds the head its full rated flow at pressure, continuously — no bogging, no heat fade, no compromise with the carrier's own hydraulics. More horsepower at the rotor is more material on the ground per hour. That's not a tune-up. It's a different machine. The math is here.

Three packs, one line
Runs heads rated to 55 GPM — the broad mid-size class of excavator mulchers.
Runs 56–90 GPM heads at full rated flow — the heart of the high-production class.
Runs 91–110 GPM heads — and it's the max-production step-up on any 70–98 GPM head.
Powertek Connect standard on every pack — telematics, web and mobile portal, and active monitoring from Concord. Running a head rated above 110 GPM? That's HT-450 / HT-575 territory — up to 200 GPM @ 5,100 PSI.
Any brand of head
Most power packs on the market are closed loop: a hydrostatic transmission between pump and motor. Put a mulching head on one that wasn't designed for it, and it can quietly damage the hydraulic system over time. Powertek packs are closed loop too — but the loop flushing that normally lives in the mulcher motor is engineered into our pack. Any brand of head, any motor, protected in the loop.
Head fit guide
We keep the spec book on every major excavator mulching head. Find the head you run — the dot is the Powertek pack that runs it at full rated flow.

● = pack delivers the head's full rated flow at 5,100 PSI. ▲ = runs on the HT-300; step to the HT-450 for absolute maximum production. Running a 70–98 GPM head? The HT-300 is the max-production step-up — same flow class, 100 more horsepower on the rotor. Head model names are trademarks of their respective manufacturers; fit shown is a hydraulic flow-window match. Don't see your head? Call — the match takes one phone call.
How it works
You supply the excavator and the mulching head — the machine and attachment you already own. We install the pack, plumbing, controls, setup, and guarding — engineered and fitted at our Concord shop. And Powertek Connect comes standard: live machine data for you and our support team.
Quoted per build — pack, carrier, head, and options are matched to your application. Contact Powertek for current pricing and lead times.
Need the big package?
Heads rated above 110 GPM — or a matched Powertek CH-150 cutterhead package — run on the HT-450 and HT-575: CAT power to 577 HP and 200 GPM @ 5,100 PSI. And the XPE excavator builds the whole machine around the tool.
